An Update on SPECIAL OLYMPICS 2011 from Herbert J. Petit, Jr., Joint Children & Youth Chairman
This year we will once again need your help at the Special Olympics State Games on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Southeastern University campus in Hammond, Louisiana.
We will need all the help we can get to man the staging area and actual softball throw event.
Help is needed as follows:
Saturday, May 21, 2011 - 7:45 AM until about 3:00 PM.
If you can get there before 7:45 AM, that would be great.
All volunteers are warmly welcomed and each receives a volunteer t-shirt for their service. Once again we hope to provide lunch for the volunteers. If you wish to make a donation for this purpose, then make checks payable to Herbert Petit. If you care to make donations directly to Special Olympics, then send yur donation to Department Headquarters and earmark it as such.
